In this role, the Manufacturing Operations Engineer will be responsible for developing and implementing assembly processes aimed at optimizing efficiency and reducing costs. The engineer will identify opportunities for process improvement and implement effective solutions to enhance productivity within the assembly center. Collaboration is key, as the engineer will work alongside Program Managers, Operations, Sourcing, Technical Specialists, and Quality teams to ensure successful product implementation. Acting as the project manager for new product implementations, the engineer will oversee the entire process from planning to execution, ensuring that all aspects are meticulously managed. Additionally, the engineer will scrub, vet, validate, and update the Bill of Materials (BOM) to ensure accuracy and completeness for assembly operations. They will assist in managing work schedules at the assembly center to ensure efficient resource utilization and timely completion of production targets. The role also involves creating and implementing operational procedures that improve assembly center processes, developing and maintaining test and work instruction procedures for assembled products, and creating quality strategies that drive process stability and reduce error rates. The engineer will be responsible for equipment maintenance, identifying needs, providing training, and ensuring proper resource tools are available for use. Furthermore, they will collaborate with the Sourcing team to reduce inventory holding costs and troubleshoot assembly issues to minimize downtime.
