About the position

The Manufacturing Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the safety, quality, and productivity of the manufacturing facility. This role involves managing daily operations, leading employees to achieve company goals, and ensuring compliance with production schedules, inventory control, and financial performance. The manager fosters teamwork and addresses employee concerns while ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective leadership to motivate and manage hourly production employees.
• Foster a collaborative team environment and coach employees to meet objectives.
• Plan, direct, and coordinate the manufacturing of products to align with company goals.
• Analyze and resolve issues related to safety, quality, and productivity.
• Ensure accurate inventory levels and oversee inventory management processes.
• Manage and operate processing machinery, including fryers and conveyors.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and address equipment breakdowns.
• Complete required documentation and record-keeping tasks accurately.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Manage multiple priorities and develop solutions to process challenges.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory or machine maintenance role within a manufacturing environment.
• Forklift certification and familiarity with HACCP plans.
• Strong knowledge of fryers, motors, switches, conveyors, and packaging systems.
• Proficiency in using basic hand tools and measuring equipment.
• Excellent judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
• Valid driver's license with eligibility to operate forklifts and pallet jacks.
