As a Manufacturing Operations Specialist at General Dynamics Mission Systems, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the operations and manufacturing organization. You will also need to demonstrate good mechanical or electrical aptitude and have experience with drawings, parts lists, bills of materials, and shop floor execution systems. This is a collaborative role that requires creative thinking and the ability to multi-task effectively, contributing to the overall success of the team and the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and perform cross-functional tasks in support of the operations/manufacturing organization.
  • Participate in the development of manufacturing and operations plans.
  • Schedule and facilitate assigned projects.
  • Interface with engineering departments, quality control, manufacturing, purchasing, and other groups as required to complete project plans.
  • Manage technical assignments related to production planning and execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related specialized area or equivalent experience is required plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree.
  • Clear understanding of standard production planning and execution principles and methods.
  • Experience with Drawings, Parts Lists, Bills of Materials, and Shop Floor Execution Systems.
  • Good mechanical or electrical aptitude.
