About the position

TSC is seeking an experienced Manufacturing and Operations Supervisor to oversee the manufacturing and packaging functions in a fast-paced environment. The role focuses on achieving business objectives related to cost, quality, customer service, compliance, and safety while implementing continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Direct the manufacturing and packaging functions for high-quality products.
• Prepare cost control reports, cost estimates, and forecasts for manpower and facilities requirements.
• Control costs associated with production, warehousing, receiving, and shipping of raw materials.
• Ensure prompt and economical receipt of materials and delivery of finished products to customers.
• Prepare specifications for purchasing plant equipment, supplies, and materials to meet production schedules.
• Establish and maintain inventory controls and levels according to budgets and forecasts.
• Ensure good workplace organization with a focus on mass balance and high yield.
• Manage waste effectively and implement continuous improvement initiatives such as lean manufacturing and Six Sigma.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 8-10 years of industry experience.
• US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD secret clearance.
• Prior supervisory experience in manufacturing.
• Understanding of manufacturing technologies, machinery, and production processes.
• Knowledge of safety standards and regulations.
• Exceptional understanding of business operations and program management.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with quality assurance protocols.
• In-depth understanding of workplace safety regulations (e.g., OSHA standards).
• Lean Manufacturing Certification, CPIM, or CMfgT certification.
• Experience with US Government compliance for timekeeping and expense reports.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organization and planning skills.
