About the position

The Manufacturing Operator - Compounding is responsible for performing functions related to the processing and packaging of drug products while ensuring compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and customer requirements. This entry-level position involves following standard operating procedures (SOPs) to complete tasks, troubleshooting process issues, and maintaining safety and efficiency in the execution of job duties. The operator will learn to apply skills to recognize issues and improve efficiency, throughput, and quality in the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with all workplace standards and safety procedures, including Lockout Tagout, cGMPs, OSHA requirements, SOPs, and Company Guidelines.
  • Perform daily setup and routine operation of the packaging line, including equipment such as bottle in-feed, unscrambler, filler, and labeler.
  • Inspect packaging components and packaged drug products to ensure compliance with specifications and identify non-conforming items.
  • Palletize finished and unfinished products and operate non-motorized material handling equipment.
  • Complete, maintain, and update production documentation using systems like SAP and Electronic Batch Records (EBRs).
  • Take ownership of training and learning to develop high-performance competencies.
  • Meet production schedules outlined by line lead and/or supervision.
  • Review and approve work output for team members using validated methods.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks as needed and trained.
  • Manage area cleaning requirements and participate in Operational Excellence initiatives.

Requirements

  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Good PC skills, including email and document management.
  • Previous experience using electronic databases and online system applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to work safely in a production environment.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow instructions regarding workplace documentation such as SOPs and Operator Manuals.
  • Demonstrated technical ability with good troubleshooting skills.
  • Good mathematical aptitude in addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and metric system.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a government regulated, GMP or SOP environment.
