Responsibilities
- Responsible for making sand molds into which metal castings are poured and must be able to perform a series of repetitive tasks.
- Process the castings created by molding and melting departments, including grinding, hot-cutting, blasting, cutting, and arcing.
- Clamp finished molds and work with overhead crane operators to move flasks to and from pouring floor.
- Pour molten metal into the molds and allow it to cool, then place cool molds in the shakeout machine where the sand is separated from the castings.
- Perform sweeping, shoveling sand, shoveling alloy, and miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be able to communicate in English.
- Valid Driver's License required.
- Entry-level manufacturing experience preferred.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
Nice-to-haves
- 1 year of manufacturing experience preferred.
