About the position

The Manufacturing Performance and Analytics Engineer at Indorama Ventures plays a crucial role in supporting the company's Digital Transformation journey. This position focuses on optimizing manufacturing processes through data analysis to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality. The engineer will develop dashboards to display performance metrics, enabling data-driven decision-making for stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Support Regional Safety & Environmental Goals through participation in EH&S programs and other Safety initiatives.
  • Assist with the development, validation, and maintenance of manufacturing performance metrics including Manufacturing cost, OEE, Yields, Raw Material Efficiency, Energy Intensity, Waste Generation, Working Inventory, and Quality.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing leadership to identify opportunities for using Digital Transformative tools to meet manufacturing improvement goals.
  • Support implementation and sustainability of advanced process control applications KPIs and reporting.
  • Lead the implementation and sustainability of Machine Learning or other advanced Mathematical tools.
  • Support manufacturing performance metrics including definition, analysis, and visualization.
  • Lead implementation of defined standardization and develop metrics automation along with reporting.
  • Assist Manufacturing SMEs in using statistical and data analysis tools to identify value-generating opportunities.
  • Lead implementation of automated collection and collation of data from various sources.
  • Perform post-implementation and ongoing audits of Data acquisition systems performance.
  • Navigate complex data sources such as SAP or SQL to extract information for Data Visualization Analysis.
  • Use programming tools to collate, reformat, and preprocess data extractions for analysis and visualization.
  • Assist with benchmarking studies of internal and external facilities.
  • Support Indovinya wide Digital transformation activities and leverage best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with integrated management system requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with team members from different backgrounds.
  • Assist other employees in accomplishing company goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field; preference for Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years of operations-related experience in the petrochemical or refining industries.
  • Strong technical capabilities in Digital twins, machine learning, and advanced statistics.
  • Six Sigma, Digital Ambassador, or other relevant Digital tool certifications are a plus.
  • Proficiency with SAP, Internet, Email, and Microsoft Office programs.
  • Comfortable programming in Python language.
  • Experience with visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
  • Familiarity with Extract Transform and Load (ETL) processes.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's or Ph.D. in a relevant field is a plus.
