About the position

The Manufacturing & Process Development Engineer is responsible for providing economical solutions to enhance and improve manufacturing processes for wire and cable production. This role involves collaboration with various departments including Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Cable Assembly Engineering, as well as interaction with suppliers and equipment manufacturers to ensure effective process development and implementation.

Responsibilities

• Process Development/Implementation/Documentation for Tape, Cable, and Braid
• Support Product Development/Design Engineering activities
• Interact with test lab on process/product qualification activities including DOE, PFMEA, 8D, and FA
• Tooling Specification & Design
• Product / Process Validation & Transfer
• Manufacturing Equipment Specification & Design concept, qualification, and FAT

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing)
• Experience in wire and cable design, testing, taping, extrusion, braiding, and jacketing
• Familiarity with PDM Link - Design Software
