About the position

The Development Engineer role focuses on providing economical solutions to enhance processes for the manufacturing of wire and cable. This position collaborates with various departments including Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Cable Assembly Engineering, as well as external partners such as raw material suppliers and equipment manufacturers.

Responsibilities

• Process Development/Implementation/Documentation for Tape, Cable, and Braid
• Support Product Development/Design Engineering activities
• Interact with test lab on process/product qualification activities including DOE, PFMEA, 8D, and FA
• Tooling Specification & Design
• Product / Process Validation & Transfer
• Manufacturing Equipment Specification & Design concept, qualification, and FAT

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing)
• Experience in wire and cable design, testing, taping, extrusion, braiding, and jacketing
• Familiarity with PDM Link - Design Software
