About The Position

The Manufacturing Process Engineer in the Aerospace Filtration Division at Parker Hannifin is responsible for developing and evaluating new manufacturing processes, enhancing current capabilities, and improving overall productivity. This role supports the Corporate WIN Strategy by implementing advanced manufacturing techniques and continuous improvement principles to solve complex engineering challenges in production.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related Engineering or Technology field.
  • Minimum 3 years of related experience.
  • US Citizenship or Permanent Resident Alien status.
  • Vision corrected to 20/25 or better.
  • Good math skills and familiarity with CAD software.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use basic measuring tools.
  • Hands-on capabilities to work on projects without supervision.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Project management experience.
  • FMEAs and quality systems experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop innovative solutions to complex engineering and manufacturing production problems.
  • Conduct process analysis and apply knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and effectively communicate in oral and written form.
  • Refine and enhance processes using continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing principles.
  • Recommend product changes and improvements based on analysis.
  • Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
  • Assure product and process quality by designing testing methods and establishing standards.
  • Evaluate capital equipment investments and prepare cost justifications.
  • Design and prepare concept drawings for new equipment or modifications.
  • Manage the implementation of capital equipment projects.
  • Develop tooling and fixtures for new products and processes.
  • Identify and implement solutions for safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction issues.
  • Prepare documentation for new manufacturing processes and engineering procedures.
