Troubleshooting production issues and implementing root cause corrective actions will be a key part of the job, as will optimizing process productivity through continuous improvement programs. Responsibilities

  • Responsible for determining operations to produce products and developing processes to ensure quality, cost and efficiency requirements.
  • Research the purchase of equipment or upgrades to existing equipment to enhance the quality and reliability in manufacturing.
  • Troubleshoot problems with production and take root cause corrective action.
  • Help to optimize process productivity through continuous improvement programs.
  • Evaluate concepts, design, prototype and test for design for manufacturability of new products.
  • Develop and refine manufacturing process.
  • Design and develop fixtures and tooling.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering to resolve customer quality issues relating to manufacturing process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or similar
  • At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing
  • Previous work in glass or window manufacturing preferred
  • Ability to resolve problems and conduct root cause analysis
  • Knowledge of ISO standards and AS9100 certification
