About the position

The Manufacturing Process Engineer at Bell-Textron, Inc. plays a crucial role in supporting the Advanced Manufacturing Processing Engineering division. This position involves contributing to major projects that align with strategic priorities and technical objectives, utilizing advanced manufacturing principles to develop innovative technologies for existing and new designs. The engineer will act as a technical contact for production engineering on various projects and cross-functional teams, ensuring the successful execution of manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Support production and industrialization of products through direct customer-facing experience.
  • Identify, report, and resolve potential safety and quality hazards/risks effectively.
  • Develop scope of work, resource estimates, progress metrics, and communication cadence for project management.
  • Perform producibility analysis and manufacturing trade studies to find cost-effective solutions to complex manufacturing objectives.
  • Initiate, plan, execute, control, and close tasks and projects to achieve specific goals and success criteria.
  • Mentor and share manufacturing technology with teammates and colleagues, positively influencing cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the aerospace or related manufacturing industry.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook.
  • Experience with composite assembly and bonding processes, complex resin systems, and thick composite laminates.
  • Working knowledge of autoclaves, presses, ovens, heat blankets, and other thermal process equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of cure cycles and adhesive rheology analysis.
