About the position

Kelly Engineering is seeking a dedicated Process Engineer for a direct hire opportunity. Join our dynamic team and contribute to the launch and continuous improvement of our manufacturing processes. As a Process Engineer, you will play a key role in driving manufacturing process engineering activities, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity across our operations. In this role, you will support Manufacturing Process Engineering by overseeing and improving final assembly manufacturing processes. You will ensure adherence to safety, quality, and productivity standards while driving initiatives to enhance these areas. This includes developing and implementing action plans to address quality concerns and applying engineering principles to establish and refine manufacturing processes. You will also create and maintain process and instruction sheets that support quality methods. A significant part of your responsibilities will involve problem-solving and root cause analysis. You will analyze scrap root causes and implement corrective actions, leading efforts to resolve assembly-related concerns and implement lean manufacturing initiatives. Compliance with plant, corporate, governmental, and environmental standards is crucial, and you will support ISO 14001 compliance and conduct internal ISO audits.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and improve final assembly manufacturing processes.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and productivity standards.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Develop and implement action plans to address quality concerns.
  • Apply engineering principles to establish and refine manufacturing processes.

  • Ensure compliance with plant, corporate, governmental, and environmental standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 3+ years of related experience.
  • Ability to support any shift in a 7-day work pattern.
  • Willingness to travel significantly during the initial plant start-up phase.
  • Demonstrated leadership behaviors with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Proficiency in 8D and 5Why corrective action and problem-solving techniques.
  • Familiarity with Lean Tools such as 5S, Kanban, Poka-yoke, and Value Stream Mapping.
  • Knowledge of TQM and Kaizen methods.
  • Experience with FMEA, PPAP, and DOEs.
  • Expertise in Visual Factory Management and ergonomic analysis.
