About the position

We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our fast-paced technology team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing new production processes, improving existing ones, and ensuring that all manufacturing processes are efficient, cost-effective, and meet the highest quality standards. This role will involve working closely with design engineers, production staff, and other stakeholders to ensure that all products are manufactured to the highest specifications. The Manufacturing Process Engineer will develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes by studying product and manufacturing methods. They will implement process improvements to reduce costs and improve manufacturing efficiency and productivity. Collaboration with design engineering and production teams is essential to develop and implement new manufacturing processes for new products. The engineer will also perform root cause analysis of manufacturing issues and develop corrective actions to address these challenges. In addition, the role includes designing and implementing process control systems to monitor production efficiency and quality. The engineer will develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including process flow diagrams, PFMEA, control plans, and standard operating procedures. Ensuring compliance with all relevant safety and environmental regulations is a critical aspect of this position. The Manufacturing Process Engineer will also collaborate with suppliers and customers to understand product requirements and ensure that manufacturing processes meet these requirements. Training production staff on new processes and procedures will be part of the responsibilities, along with using statistical methods to identify areas for process improvement and monitor overall production performance. Leading cross-functional teams in process improvement projects will also be a key responsibility.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing process engineering role, preferably in the technology industry.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and cost management.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong project management skills, with proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex technical concepts to non-technical team members and stakeholders.
  • Proficient in the use of CAD software, statistical analysis software, and other engineering tools.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of safety and environmental regulations in a manufacturing environment.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • RFID experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
