About The Position

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or above.
  • Minimum 5-7 years in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or operations-related fields.
  • Working knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and techniques for maximizing effective manufacture of goods.
  • Experience in using statistical tools and methods for determining process capabilities and troubleshooting problems.
  • Excellent communication skills with management to shop floor operators.
  • Self-driven, positive personality, passionate, and independent, with a can-do attitude.
  • Hands-on and detail-oriented management style, with involvement in day-to-day operations and problem-solving.
  • Highly organized, analytical, and able to motivate and manage others.
  • Familiarity with MS Office software like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio/Project.

Responsibilities

  • Practice Lean Manufacturing to improve safety, efficiency, quality, downtime, and waste.
  • Analyze production, identify trends for opportunities, and lead cross-functional teams to implement robust processes utilizing structured problem-solving techniques.
  • Determine the root cause of failures and problems with equipment or processes.
  • Create, write, and modify standard operating procedures.
  • Work with the team to define process capabilities, process instructions, operator instructions, control plans, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare training materials and train key production employees and production supervisors on new work procedures and manufacturing processes.
  • Enable data collection and reporting from various manufacturing systems.
  • Create, improve, and maintain KPIs with transparent corporate reporting to ensure key stakeholders can see performance and that both strategic and tactical decision-making can be factual and data-based.
  • Lead with a collaborative style, building bridges across both internal and external groups/functions to ensure seamless execution of manufacturing strategies, operational plans, and implementation of new processes and technologies.
  • Implement and maintain 5S practices to ensure a clean, organized, and efficient environment.
  • Participate and lead operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives focused on yield improvement and factory capability advancement.
  • Communicate clearly and positively engage with engineers, QA/QC, production/operator, maintenance, management, and office staff.
  • Stay current with manufacturing industry trends and identify and implement manufacturing best practices across all sites.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations.
  • Maintain a high presence on the manufacturing floor.
