About the position

SynQor is seeking a recent Engineering Bachelor's Degree graduate for the position of Manufacturing Process Engineer. This role is crucial in providing engineering support to high volume manufacturing processes. The Manufacturing Process Engineer will be responsible for developing, evaluating, and improving manufacturing and assembly processes and methods to achieve maximum productivity levels. This position requires a proactive approach to identify and implement cost reductions, troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment, and mentor operators in their tasks. The engineer will also recommend necessary engineering design changes and develop and maintain process work instructions. Data collection and analysis will be key components of this role, driving continuous process improvement and root cause corrective action. The engineer will engage in process control and improvement activities to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing and assembly processes and methods to obtain maximum productivity levels
  • Identify and implement cost reductions
  • Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment
  • Instruct, help, guide, and mentor operators
  • Recommend engineering design changes as needed
  • Develop and maintain process work instructions
  • Data collection and analysis to drive continuous process improvement and root cause corrective action
  • Engage in process control and process improvement activities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical)
  • 1 - 3 years of experience preferred
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes used in the electronics manufacturing industry, including SMT placement, reflow soldering, thru-hole soldering, hand assembly, and SMT repair
  • Ability to prioritize and balance multiple ongoing tasks
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Electronics manufacturing experience a plus
