About the position

The Manufacturing/Process Engineer at Mustad USA is responsible for maintaining and improving the overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) of production activities to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness. This role involves developing and implementing process strategies, managing resources, and optimizing existing processes while demonstrating the company's values and fostering a collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develops 3D CAD models of processes, tools, and equipment improvements following safety and SOP regulations.
  • Supports supervisors and staff with technical knowledge related to 3D CAD model programming, robotics, and closed die hot forging.
  • Conducts design reviews for new products and process projects, supporting R&D in integrating new technologies.
  • Assesses existing manufacturing methods and researches new technologies for process improvement.
  • Performs risk analyses, designs and tests processes, and creates reports to convey results and outcomes.
  • Develops, maintains, and updates standardized operating instructions and data analysis for decision making.
  • Improves electromechanical processes integrated with robotics through zero failure analysis and other techniques.
  • Performs other duties as requested or assigned.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Process Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics) with more than 5 years of experience.
  • 3 years of process engineering experience in field operation, process design, and engineering, including 3D CAD modeling.
  • Knowledge of processes such as hot forging, die close dies, tooling, CNC machines, or robotics.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and advanced technical skills.
  • Highly self-motivated and adaptable to change with a strong work ethic.
  • Well organized with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to read, understand, analyze, and problem-solve mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Ability to work independently and accurately with minimal supervision.
  • Outstanding computer skills including MS Office, data analysis, and PowerBI.
  • Familiarity with quality, health, environmental, and safety regulations.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with CNC machines and robotics programming.
  • Fluency in Spanish, both verbally and in writing.
  • Experience in industrial environments.

Benefits
