About the position

Crown Food North America is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support operations within the Food Division, which is the leading manufacturer of food cans globally. This remote traveling position involves working closely with eight manufacturing facilities to design, implement, and improve manufacturing processes while ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements and testing manufacturing methods and equipment.
• Evaluate manufacturing processes through research and application of product design and materials.
• Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing processes and methods.
• Assure product and process quality by designing test methods and establishing standards.
• Provide decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs.
• Collaborate with external sources for tooling design and production as needed.
• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• Minimum of five (5) years manufacturing experience in positions of increasing responsibility.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in high-speed metal packaging related to Beverage, Food, or Aerosol packaging.
• Six Sigma certification in Green Belt or beyond.
