About the position

The Manufacturing Process Engineer at Actalent is responsible for analyzing and improving production processes to enhance efficiency and reduce waste. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams, compliance with safety and quality standards, and the use of CAD software to create engineering drawings. The engineer will also conduct studies to optimize production methods and provide training to staff.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and evaluate production processes to identify areas for improvement and increase efficiency.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize production workflows and reduce waste.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new manufacturing processes and systems.
  • Conduct time and motion studies to determine optimal production methods.
  • Ensure that all production processes comply with safety and quality standards.
  • Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Monitor and analyze production data to identify trends and make data-driven decisions.
  • Provide training and support to production staff on new processes and equipment.
  • Prepare and present reports on production performance and improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant engineering tools.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
