About the position

The Manager, Manufacturing Process Engineering is responsible for leading and managing the design, development, deployment, and optimization of manufacturing processes to meet quality, cost, and delivery goals for Celestica and its customers. This role involves overseeing customer-specific process development projects, ensuring best practices are followed, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the customers' technical roadmap and manage new customer-specific process development projects.
  • Develop the scope of technical work, coordinate teams, and assist with problem resolution throughout the product life cycle.
  • Evaluate potential manufacturing impacts for design concepts.
  • Develop best practice standards and provide training and application support globally.
  • Set yearly plans and goals for the department, providing direction and performance evaluations.
  • Accountable for achieving department objectives and key performance indicators.
  • Design and deploy continuous improvement goals and strategies using CI principles and tools.
  • Coordinate and oversee CI activities for the site/function.
  • Facilitate and mentor lean and six sigma improvement activities.

Requirements

  • 7 to 10 years of related experience in similar job roles.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage complex engineering projects.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and people management skills.
  • Financial acumen with the ability to create financial plans and profitability calculations.
