About the position
The Manufacturing Process Improvement Engineer will focus on enhancing manufacturing processes within a food production facility. This role emphasizes the application of engineering skills and lean manufacturing techniques to drive continuous improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost efficiency. The ideal candidate will work closely with equipment and operators, fostering a hands-on approach to problem-solving and process optimization.
Responsibilities
- Apply engineering skills and lean techniques to improve manufacturing processes.
- Generate continuous improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
- Teach manufacturing and technical concepts to team members.
- Work hands-on on the production floor with equipment and operators.
Requirements
- 4 year engineering degree
- Lean manufacturing experience
- Green belt/black belt certification
- 7+ years experience in high volume process-based food manufacturing
- Ability to teach manufacturing and technical concepts
- Proficient in Excel
