About the position

The Manufacturing Product Configurator at Synectics Inc. is responsible for managing and maintaining the FeneVision software, a custom ERP system tailored for the manufacturing industry. This role involves optimizing the software to meet operational needs, automating business processes, and ensuring effective data management. The position requires strong technical skills, particularly in SQL and Visual Basic, along with a solid understanding of manufacturing processes and systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain FeneVision software, a custom ERP system unique to the industry.
• Maintain price books and real-time inventory.
• Implement business and manufacturing process automation with FeneVision.
• Understand and manage manufacturing bill of materials (BOM).
• Optimize FeneVision to meet the company's operation and production needs.
• Create and configure products in FeneVision.
• Understand production machine interfaces such as welders, saws, and automated glass lines.
• Assist with data input, import, and export.
• Create AD-HOC reports using Microsoft RDL.
• Develop and maintain user experience (UX) for web-based customers.
• Write manufacturing rules based on product requirements.
• Develop and maintain relationships with supporting vendors.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, or related field preferred, or 3+ years of related experience.
• Experience in FeneVision is a must.
• Proficient in SQL and VB Scripting; VB Studio knowledge preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing industry ERP-type system is required.
• Time management and project management skills.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work on projects independently with minimal supervision.
• General IT helpdesk troubleshooting experience is a plus.
