About the position

The Manufacturing Production Assistant Manager will support production staff by managing operations related to product data entry, secondary operations, and maintenance tasks. This role is crucial in ensuring that production processes run smoothly, particularly in areas involving wiring, connectors, and LED applications.

Responsibilities

  • Read work orders, pick tickets, routings, schedules, material labels, part drawings, and inspection data records.
  • Enter and maintain operational data in the company ERP system and SharePoint.
  • Pick raw materials, receive finished goods and scrap.
  • Perform secondary operations.
  • Clean and count finished parts.
  • Assist with quality checks and procedure audits.
  • Assist production staff with machinery setup and changeover by gathering and preparing tools and materials required by work order.
  • Dismantle, clean, repair, replace, install, and maintain equipment under the guidance of the supervisor or lead.
  • Ensure that assigned work areas are always clean and in good state of housekeeping.
  • Operate small hand truck to move equipment pallets, parts, and materials.
  • Take appropriate measures to ensure all products are completed to production, quality, and technical specifications.
  • Keep lead customer service, shipping department, and/or production supervisor informed of critical issues which affect production schedule.
  • Perform special assignments as required.

Requirements

  • Proficient in MS Office software.
  • Solid organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing operations, including low and high voltage wiring and electrical applications.
  • Ability to read part drawings and familiarity with basic measurement methods is preferred.
  • Possess leadership skills and ability to be led in a healthy manner.
  • Emphasizes personal and professional growth and keeps knowledge and skills current.
  • Extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals in a variety of tasks.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, able to read and write in English.
  • Authorized to work in the US; fluency in other foreign languages is a plus.
  • Ability to perform basic physical tasks such as lifting 50lbs, reading, and typing.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in SharePoint.
  • Trade school education in a relevant field.
