About the position

The Manufacturing Production Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating activities of designated product lines to achieve cost, schedule, technical, gross margin, and profitability goals. This role involves developing a culture of ownership and accountability, leading a multi-disciplined team, and ensuring compliance with company and FAA standards. The manager will implement continuous improvement processes and manage the department's budget while maintaining effective communication across all departments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a culture of ownership, urgency, and accountability within the division.
  • Coach supervisors and leads in leadership disciplines and high volume manufacturing principles.
  • Manage a multi-disciplined team for assigned product lines, ensuring cost, technical, and schedule performance.
  • Participate in proposal and contract negotiations for change activities.
  • Oversee all phases of product line from initial production demonstration to sustaining production.
  • Act as primary contact for program managers regarding product line activities.
  • Lead product line review sessions to discuss cost, pricing, schedule, and technical performance.
  • Implement lean techniques to eliminate waste and improve process value.
  • Prepare business plans, work statements, and develop technical and administrative specifications.
  • Establish milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules.
  • Identify product line problems and develop methods to increase productivity and profit.
  • Direct the work of stakeholders assigned to the product line from various areas.
  • Develop and manage the department's budget, including staffing levels and routine expenses.
  • Ensure compliance with company and FAA standards and procedures.
  • Maintain effective communication between all departments.
  • Review operational performance status reports and modify schedules or plans as required.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for customers and management.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 Year / Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate discipline.
  • 8-10 years of related experience and/or training.
  • 4 years of supervisory/management experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the aerospace manufacturing industry.
  • Familiarity with FAA regulations and standards.
