About the position

Post Consumer Brands is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Manufacturing Production Operators at our Northfield, Minnesota facility. This full-time position is integral to our operations, where you will be responsible for operating and monitoring equipment on our processing and packaging production lines. Our processing team members play a crucial role in transforming raw ingredients into the delicious cereals that our customers love, while our packaging team ensures that these products are packaged correctly for distribution. You will be expected to adhere to quality and safety standards, ensuring that the production line runs smoothly and efficiently. In this role, you will operate various types of equipment, perform quality checks on finished products and packaging materials, and document production data to measure efficiency and waste. You will also be responsible for using basic hand tools to perform repairs and light maintenance on equipment, as well as communicating effectively with team members to stay informed about processes and any issues that arise. Safety is a top priority, and you will participate in safety training and strictly follow all safety policies and procedures. The work schedule consists of 12-hour shifts, following a 2-2-3 schedule, which allows for built-in overtime pay and every-other weekend off. Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor equipment on processing and packaging production lines.
  • Perform quality checks on finished products and packaging materials, documenting results.
  • Use basic hand tools for repairs and light maintenance on production equipment.
  • Record production data to measure waste, downtime, and production efficiency.
  • Communicate with team members regarding important information and processes.
  • Participate in safety training and adhere to safety policies and procedures.
  • Occasionally operate a forklift to transport materials within the production area.
  • Work with dry/raw ingredients to create batches and vitamin/slurry mixtures.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area, performing sanitation audits as needed.
  • Assist in troubleshooting equipment issues and perform preventive maintenance.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to learn the operation of a wide range of food production equipment.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools effectively.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical issues.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.
  • Attention to detail in all tasks.
  • Ability to multi-task and organize effectively.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working in construction, farming, manufacturing, or mechanical professions.
