About the position

As a Manufacturing Production Technician at KB Specialty Foods, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks and duties as determined by team composition and crewing needs. This role requires you to maintain timely progress through assigned operational training and flexibly perform various roles in a team-based environment. Your primary focus will be to perform all jobs safely, efficiently, and accurately, contributing to the overall performance of the plant in the areas of Safety, Quality, Reliability (SQR), and our Customer 1st strategy. You will be expected to provide leadership that embodies the 7 Kroger Manufacturing High Performance Work System principles and demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety. In this position, you will need to maintain timely arrival and attendance for your scheduled shift, demonstrate a willingness and ability to learn, and make timely progress in completing the training and skill development required to master at least one designated rotational position for the core team's operational function. You will steadily pursue and master leadership and operational skill development as required to advance to Tech Level 1 performance within the established time frame. A fundamental knowledge and behavior required for the safe execution of operational roles is essential, as is a clear understanding of the essential information and behavior required to ensure product quality. You will read equipment-specific standard work before engaging machinery, model role-appropriate leadership behavior in keeping with Kroger Values, and exhibit a functional understanding of plant strategy, functions, and operational objectives. Collaboration with the training coordinator or resource leader will be necessary to maintain the expected pace of technical and leadership development, and you will complete cross-training as determined by team composition and objectives. Your commitment to team goals through cooperative and aligned behavior will be crucial, as will your ability to communicate effectively with team members to overcome obstacles through collaboration. You will also be expected to maintain positive, professional interactions with team members and adapt your behavior and efforts in response to changing team requirements or circumstances. Active participation in team meetings and discussions, asking questions to clarify and obtain key information, and providing active support to any team member when needed to maintain operations are also key aspects of this role. Additionally, you must be able to work around ingredients and/or finished products known to contain food allergens and follow established programs, policies, and practices to produce safe, quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements. You will be accountable to the Kroger Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles and must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Must demonstrate reliable, punctual attendance
