The Manufacturing Project Manager - Operations and Implementation at Siemens is a pivotal role within the Smart Infrastructure, Electrical Products division, focusing on the optimization of production methods for complex electrical and mechanical products. This position is designed for a professional who can lead multidisciplinary teams to implement projects that enhance productivity, speed, error reduction, and flexibility in manufacturing processes. The role requires a deep understanding of both technical and commercial aspects of project management, ensuring that the methods adopted are sustainable and effectively integrated into the manufacturing environment. As a Manufacturing Project Manager, you will be responsible for developing comprehensive business plans that outline the benefits, costs, schedules, scopes, and risks associated with each project. You will execute projects within defined requirements, ensuring that they meet budgetary constraints and timelines while delivering functionality that satisfies customer needs. Your role will also involve stakeholder management, where you will ensure timely decisions on open issues and proactively identify and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle. You will lead a network of technical specialists, coordinating efforts across engineering, operations, and procurement disciplines. This collaboration is essential for realizing the operational strategy and ensuring that all aspects of the process, from order entry to delivery and field service, are effectively managed. Additionally, you will provide regular updates to senior management, ensuring transparency and accountability in project reporting and controlling. The position requires a proactive approach to refining project scopes, goals, and deliverables, as well as monitoring and predicting project performance to achieve approved timelines and manage resources effectively. You will be expected to drive a high-performance culture within your teams, fostering an environment of ownership and accountability.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multidisciplinary teams to implement projects focused on optimizing production methods.
  • Develop business plans defining benefits, costs, schedules, scope, and risks of projects.
  • Execute projects within defined requirements, ensuring business success and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure timely decisions on open issues and proactively identify and mitigate risks.
  • Preserve and improve the return on investment established during initial project phases.
  • Coordinate across Engineering, Operations, and Procurement disciplines to ensure cooperation with regional and global units.
  • Perform technical risk management and actively mitigate risks throughout the project life.
  • Provide updates to senior management on project status and performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, or Mechatronics) or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience managing large complex projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
  • High proficiency in project management and communication tools (Excel, Word, Project, Visio).
  • Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.

  • Strong experience in data analytics.
  • PMP Certification or equivalent with proven project successes.
