About the position

The Manufacturing Project Manager - Operations and Implementation at Siemens will play a pivotal role in leading multidisciplinary teams to optimize production methods from customer configuration through to the delivery of products. This position is part of the Smart Infrastructure, Electrical Products division, which focuses on operational strategy and advanced process development across all facilities. The project manager will be responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of projects that enhance productivity, speed, error reduction, data acquisition, and flexibility in manufacturing processes. The role requires a strong understanding of both technical and commercial aspects, as the project manager will need to frame technical details in a way that aligns with business objectives. In this role, you will be tasked with developing business plans that outline the benefits, costs, schedules, scopes, and risks associated with each project. You will execute projects within defined requirements, ensuring business success and customer satisfaction through effective stakeholder management. Timely decision-making on open issues and risk identification will be crucial, as will the ability to preserve and improve the return on investment established in the initial project phases. You will lead a network of technical specialists to realize the operational strategy across various process areas, coordinating with engineering, operations, and procurement disciplines to ensure cooperation across regional and global units. The project manager will also be responsible for performing technical risk management, providing updates to senior management, and ensuring that all project goals are met, including the preservation of ROI. This position requires a proactive approach to managing project performance, including monitoring timelines, budget performance, and resource management. The successful candidate will embrace current and future technologies in manufacturing, such as digitalization, automation, and data analytics, to drive project success and foster a high-performance culture.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multidisciplinary teams to implement projects focused on optimizing production methods.
  • Develop business plans defining benefits, costs, schedules, scopes, and risks of projects.
  • Execute projects within defined requirements, ensuring business success and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure timely decisions on open issues and identification of risks, escalating if necessary.
  • Preserve and improve the return on investment established in the initial project phases.
  • Lead a network of technical specialists to realize operational strategy across affected process areas.
  • Coordinate across Engineering, Operations, and Procurement disciplines to ensure cooperation with regional and global units.
  • Perform technical risk management and actively mitigate risks throughout the project life.
  • Provide updates to senior management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, or Mechatronics) or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience managing large complex projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
  • High proficiency in project management and communication tools (Excel, Word, Project & Visio).
  • Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.

  • Strong experience in data analytics.
  • PMP Certification or equivalent with proven project successes.
