About the position

The QA Specialist at L'Oreal Operations is responsible for ensuring compliance with quality standards through internal and external audits, calibration maintenance, incident management, and documentation control. This role involves collaborating with various teams to uphold quality assurance processes and drive continuous improvement in compliance and documentation practices. The QA Specialist will also manage purchasing for the quality department and execute mock recalls, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety are maintained across the manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the site internal audit plan.
  • Work with EHS to develop and maintain audit templates in Nimonik for all scheduled audits.
  • Execute yearly training for the internal audit team.
  • Review audits for completion, including non-conformances tracked.
  • Provide visibility for overdue audits.
  • Accountable as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for internal and external audits.
  • Execute L'Oréal external audits per schedule to vendor sites.
  • Provide back room support for FDA audits.
  • Develop and maintain general site FDA material.
  • Lead the quality aspect of preparation for ISO audits.
  • Execute yearly training for ISO audit preparation.
  • Lead preparation for the DGO audit process.
  • Provide response to DGO following any items identified during the audit.
  • Maintain calibration plan compliance and provide training to applicable employees.
  • Provide visibility and action plans for overdue calibrations.
  • Schedule and host calibration vendor to maintain compliance of calibrated equipment.
  • Accountable as SME for internal and external audits regarding calibrations.
  • Review and/or approve completed incidents in the ETQ system.
  • Conduct daily reporting of open incidents and monthly reporting of aged incidents to drive closure.
  • Responsible for the implementation of solutions and corrective actions when applicable.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for document control.
  • Conduct monthly reporting of aged documents to drive reviews and improvements.
  • Maintain compliance of the change management module.
  • Create POs for the quality department and track the monthly budget.
  • Execute mock recall and direct flows audits, completing reports and sharing gaps for improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in a Science-related field.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment working with compliance requirements.
  • Working knowledge of CGMP, FDA, and ISO9001 standards.
  • Working knowledge of driving and participating in audits.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and desired knowledge in Project.
  • Ability to perform risk analysis.

  • Experience with technical document composition.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
