About the position

The Manufacturing Quality Engineer Co-Op at Schneider Electric is an on-site role based in Fairfield, OH, aimed at ensuring product and service quality meets customer requirements. The position focuses on implementing continuous quality improvement processes, managing customer containment actions, and maintaining quality control documentation. The co-op will also lead process audits and contribute to the development of quality standards within the manufacturing sector.

Responsibilities

• Ensure product and service quality meets customer requirements.
• Implement continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Manage customer containment actions effectively.
• Apply and ensure consistency of the Process Control Plan with Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA).
• Challenge supervisors to identify and manage risks proactively.
• Serve as the local expert on the traceability system for the manufacturing floor.
• Lead Process Audits and Process FMEAs.
• Create and maintain quality control documentation and ensure related training and application in the sector.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the assigned perimeter.
• Provide inputs and challenge quality aspects for new evolutions and contribute to process/control capability implementation.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Electronic).
• Experience with 8D problem solving methodology and tool utilization (e.g., 5Why, fishbone).
• Knowledge of Six Sigma.
