About the position

The Manufacturing Quality Manager at CNH Industrial is responsible for overseeing the quality management program at the Wichita plant. This role involves setting quality goals, assessing technical capabilities, and implementing best practices to enhance product quality and reduce customer issues. The manager will also lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives and ensure effective quality control processes are in place to maintain high standards in production.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and lead the Site Leadership team in setting bold Quality goals for new and existing products.
  • Assess gaps in capabilities of core Quality Technical skills of engineers and technicians and implement gap closure plans.
  • Identify and transfer best practices and regional-global standard work to reduce customer quality issues and improve profitability.
  • Collaborate with Product Design, Process Design, and Customer Service to align priorities and action plans for product quality.
  • Lead the development and implementation of an effective Daily Management System for Quality within the CNH Business System.
  • Apply Advanced Quality Planning skills and Root Cause Problem Solving to accelerate improvement rates.
  • Facilitate the development and implementation of inspection, test, and containment processes to minimize customer impact of defects.
  • Ensure Process Validation for new products/services to maintain quality performance at full production rates.
  • Support the implementation of strong Process Controls to prevent defects using Mistake Proofing and Visual Management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • 8 or more years of experience in an industrial manufacturing business.
  • 4 or more years of management experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Graduate degree in Business is a plus.
  • Experience working across functional lines in Product Design, Process Design, Customer Service, and Manufacturing Operations.
  • Experience driving increased customer focus and value creation in an internally focused organization.
  • High energy and effective communication skills to lead across functional lines without direct authority.
  • Results-oriented with experience in driving process change for sustainability.
