About the position

As a Manufacturing Robotics Engineer, Sr. for the Missiles and Fire Control team in Ocala, Florida, you will play a crucial role in designing and optimizing manufacturing processes that leverage automation technologies. Your primary focus will be on creating efficient production layouts and procedures that maximize quality and efficiency through the use of advanced automation techniques. You will be involved in the entire lifecycle of automated processes and equipment, from initial design and implementation to ongoing maintenance and upgrades. This position requires a proactive approach to staying informed about the latest developments in automation, ensuring that manufacturing processes continuously improve and adapt to new technologies. In this role, you will support and participate in the design, testing, modification, fabrication, and assembly of manufacturing tools and electromechanical systems. This includes working with automated components such as robots, conveyors, vision systems, and programmable controllers. You will also provide guidance to engineering teams regarding design concepts and specification requirements, ensuring that equipment and manufacturing techniques are utilized to their fullest potential. Compliance with regulations and industry standards will be a key aspect of your responsibilities, as you ensure that all processes and procedures meet necessary guidelines. Responsibilities

  • Design manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts utilizing automation to maximize quality and efficiency.
  • Support and participate in the design, test, modification, fabrication, and assembly of manufacturing tools and electromechanical systems.
  • Manage the life cycle of automated processes and equipment from design to implementation to maintenance and upgrades.
  • Stay informed of new developments in automation to facilitate continuous improvement of manufacturing processes.
  • Provide guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
  • Ensure processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.

Requirements

  • Experience programming collaborative robots/experience with robotics.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a technical discipline.
  • Experience with and proficient in simulation software - RoboGuide, RoboDK, Visual Components.
  • Must be a US Citizen due to facility requirements.

Nice-to-haves

  • Programming PLC's & HMI's.
  • Experience assembling and wiring industrial control panels according to engineering schematics and diagrams.
  • Experience programming machine vision systems.
  • Understanding of ethernet with TCP IP.
  • Modbus communication.
