The Manufacturing Sales Engineer will be a pivotal figure in the sales of tailored inline process spectrometers, including UV-VIS-NIR, LIBS, and Raman technologies. This role is situated within an established automation machinery manufacturing firm that specializes in the design and production of complex opto-electronics devices, sensors, and analytical instrumentation for various industries, particularly in the life sciences and medical devices sectors. The firm prides itself on its contract manufacturing services, which are supported by a team of highly skilled professionals in applications, engineering, and manufacturing. The successful candidate will leverage their extensive experience in manufacturing to drive the growth of a new business division. This will involve developing innovative business acquisition strategies and working independently to achieve sales objectives. The role requires a deep understanding of the medical devices industry, including familiarity with quality management systems such as ISO13485 and FDA regulations, as well as clean room protocols. In addition to technical expertise, the Manufacturing Sales Engineer must possess strong business development and presentation skills, as well as a well-established network within the industry. Responsibilities

  • Drive sales of tailored inline process spectrometers (UV-VIS-NIR, LIBS, and Raman).
  • Develop and implement innovative business acquisition strategies.
  • Work independently to build a new business division.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of manufacturing norms and directives in the medical devices space.
  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure product quality and compliance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships within the industry to enhance business opportunities.
  • Present technical information and sales proposals to potential clients.

Requirements

  • BSc or MSc in electrical or mechanical engineering, specialized in production/manufacturing engineering.
  • 5-10 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing.
  • Deep understanding of norms and directives in the medical devices space, including TQM systems and ISO13485.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to develop a new business division.
  • Excellent business development and presentation skills.
  • Well-connected in the industry.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with contract manufacturing in the life sciences or medical devices sectors.
  • Familiarity with clean room protocols and FDA registration processes.
