About the position

The Manufacturing Sanitation Technician is responsible for maintaining the food safe quality of products by adhering to standard operating procedures and exceeding industry and federal cleaning and sanitizing requirements. This role involves proactive thinking, continuous learning about federally mandated standards, and effective communication with sanitation, production, and maintenance teams. The position is part of a dynamic team that values quality and safety in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize the interior and exterior of the production facility to exceed quality expectations.
• Follow the master cleaning schedule to ensure the plant is audit-ready at all times.
• Use pre-mixed chemical cleaning agents to clean and sanitize the production facility.
• Remove lint, dust, oil, grease, and debris from the production facility, including machines and overhead pipes.
• Operate pressure washer, rack washer, floor scrubber, scissor lift, and forklift according to specifications.
• Disassemble, clean, and reassemble equipment for the next production run.
• Transport trash and waste to the disposal area.
• Maintain cleanliness outside the Bakery facility, including silos and dock doors.
• Adhere to safety, food safety, quality, and Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Wear personal protective equipment as required.
• Use lockout/tagout procedures for equipment safety.
• Seek ways to improve work quality and apply feedback to enhance performance.
• Report safety, food safety, and quality issues to appropriate personnel.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Related experience in bakery or manufacturing industries.
• Experience with boom and scissor lifts.
