Manufacturing Scheduling Manager

About the position

The Manufacturing Scheduling Manager at GOJO Industries is a key leadership role within the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) team, responsible for managing the execution of production schedules across multiple manufacturing facilities. This position focuses on optimizing plant operational efficiency, ensuring adherence to production schedules, and fostering collaboration among various teams to enhance manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage workflow and priorities of the manufacturing scheduling team
• Ensure conformance to production schedules as identified by the master scheduling team
• Provide guidance on mix and packaging teams' priorities as it relates to the production schedule
• Create and maintain manufacturing production schedules that optimize plant operational efficiency given the current supply plan requirements
• Develop team members (direct reports) through coaching, mentoring and providing transparent feedback
• Strong collaboration and communication with operations teams to ensure execution of production plans
• Collaborate with supply planning team to identify opportunities for continuous improvements to the scheduling and manufacturing processes
• Communicate critical issues effectively to operations, supply planning and global sourcing
• Resolve production scheduling issues at plant and escalate unresolved issues to Operations and Sales & Operations Execution
• Participate in monthly IBP team meetings
• Use scorecards to measure performance and celebrate successes
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, supply chain or logistics preferred; directly applicable work experience required in lieu of degree
• Minimum five (5) years' planning experience required
• Previous experience leading a team of plant schedulers or other plant planning roles required
• Direct work experience required in supply chain, production, planning, and/or sourcing
• Proficient in MS Office applications
• Outstanding written and verbal communications
• Excellent organizational, leadership and project management skills
• Strong decision-making skills and results driven approach
