About the position

As a Manufacturing Site HR Manager at Parker, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing the HR function at our Miami site, specifically supporting the operations and functional teams for the Aftermarket team. This position is not just about managing HR processes; it is about being a strategic partner to the site leadership team. You will ensure that HR strategies are aligned with business objectives, which is critical for driving organizational development, talent management, employee relations, and compliance initiatives. Your contributions will significantly impact Parker's mission of enabling engineering breakthroughs that lead to a better tomorrow. In this role, you will oversee key talent management activities, including talent development, succession planning, performance management, and strategic workforce planning. You will collaborate closely with divisional leaders and HR partners across the Aerospace Group, ensuring that the HR function effectively supports the business needs. Your responsibilities will also include serving as a trusted advisor to management and team members on HR-related issues, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and leading initiatives to enhance organizational effectiveness. You will be responsible for conducting salary assessments in partnership with the corporate Total Rewards team, ensuring that compensation offerings are competitive and equitable. Additionally, you will champion Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives, fostering an inclusive work environment that values diverse perspectives. Your role will also involve developing and analyzing HR metrics to assess the effectiveness of HR initiatives and providing insights to leadership for informed decision-making. Overall, this position is integral to the success of the Miami site and the broader goals of Parker.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with site leadership and functional teams to understand business objectives and develop HR strategies that support these goals.
  • Oversee talent acquisition, development, and retention strategies, ensuring the site attracts, develops, and retains top talent.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to management and team members on HR-related issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance management.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance organizational effectiveness, including change management, team development, and leadership training.
  • Conduct salary assessments and reviews in partnership with corporate Total Rewards team to ensure competitive and equitable offerings that align with company policies and market trends.
  • Develop and analyze HR metrics to assess the effectiveness of HR initiatives for the Miami site and provide insights to leadership for informed decision-making.
  • Champion DEI initiatives at the site, fostering an inclusive work environment that values diverse perspectives and experiences.
  • Lead or participate in company-wide HR projects, ensuring the successful implementation of HR programs and initiatives at the site level.
  • Implement and facilitate training and development programs tailored to the needs of the site in conjunction with standard offerings and training requirements for Aerospace group and Parker Hannifin Corporation.
  • Partner with functional leaders to implement and support high performing team framework for site.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of HR experience, with at least 3-5 years in a management role within a manufacturing or aerospace environment.
  • Professional HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build strong relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven experience in talent management, employee relations, organizational development, and training and development.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Ability to analyze HR metrics and use data to drive decisions.
  • Experience with HRIS systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Prior experience in HR leadership in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Highly effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
