About the position

The Manufacturing Skill Operator at Schneider Electric is responsible for the inspection, setup, and teardown of critical customer equipment in accordance with established manufacturing and quality procedures. This role involves collaboration with Test Technicians and requires a strong focus on quality and efficiency in equipment handling. The position is based in the Red Oak, Texas facility and supports continuous improvement activities within the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed inspection, setup, and teardown of critical customer equipment.
  • Collaborate with Test Technicians to ensure standards are met.
  • Conduct workflow scheduling and administrative tasks as needed.
  • Ensure equipment is properly set up, inspected, and operational.
  • Perform quality inspections to maintain equipment availability and effectiveness.
  • Assist Test Technicians with daily tasks and continuous improvement activities.
  • Be flexible in taking on other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2 years of experience with torque tools, basic hand tools, and mechanical schematics.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and oral.
  • Proficient in using basic electronic test equipment for control wiring continuity testing.
  • Good color vision to identify color-coded wiring and cables.
  • Strong team player with good communication and organizational skills.
