About the position

The Manufacturing Supervisor (Blending & Concentration) is responsible for overseeing the production process in a manufacturing plant, ensuring that production goals are met while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity. This role involves coaching and directing manufacturing operators, collaborating with other departments, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Directs and coaches manufacturing operators in the execution of daily/weekly production schedule across multiple work centers.
  • Efficiently meets or exceeds production goals while maintaining safety, quality and productivity and minimizing waste.
  • Collaborates with other departments and support groups for all production needs.
  • Reviews, analyzes, and interprets production data to determine if adjustments need to be made.
  • Provides continuous improvement project support and facilitation.
  • Encourages teamwork and fosters a culture of empowerment and positive morale.
  • Provides strong leadership to direct reports regarding professionalism, courtesy and adherence to policy.
  • Maintains control documents, logs and databases according to company policy and associated SOPs within the manufacturing Department.
  • Supports cycle counts and period end inventory of raw materials.
  • Maintains time worked and attendance records, and tracks Operators' performance.
  • Maintains all areas and equipment in a safe, clean and orderly manner.
  • Communicates daily with Manufacturing Management on daily activities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 2+ years of production leadership experience, at the Supervisory level is preferred.
  • GMP/cGMP manufacturing experience is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, ability to troubleshoot and manage through machine outages with sound judgement and rationale.
  • Ability to train on any shift and work any shift as the business dictates.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, good work ethic and leadership skills.
  • Strong sense of personal responsibility.
  • Sound math and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to handle tough conversations.
  • Ability to manage and motivate personnel.
  • Strong initiative and ability to anticipate issues proactively.
  • Intermediate computer skills to include Word, Excel, and MS360.
