About the position

The Manufacturing Supervisor at Starr Staffing LLC is responsible for overseeing production, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction within the manufacturing environment. This role involves assessing and enhancing the leadership talent in operations to meet market demands, reducing costs, and improving manufacturing efficiency. The supervisor will plan production operations, establish priorities, and ensure that manufacturing lines are adequately staffed to meet production schedules while maintaining high-quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for production, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
• Assess and assist in upgrading the front line leadership talent base within operations.
• Conceive, research, plan, target, and control reductions in cost and product lead times.
• Establish uniform methods of operations.
• Review production orders or schedules to ascertain product data and plan department operations.
• Plan production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.
• Prepare operational schedules and coordinate manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality meet specifications.
• Ensure manufacturing lines are adequately staffed per manufacturing schedule, adjusting associates as needed.
• Review production and operating reports and resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems.
• Inspect machines and equipment to ensure operational performance and optimum utilization.
• Ensure line associates follow established manufacturing processes and meet production requirements.
• Provide recommendations for correction or improvement as appropriate.
• Promote a positive and growth-oriented mindset among peers and subordinates.
• Work with HR to settle worker grievances and communicate unresolved issues to management.
• Compile, store, and retrieve production data.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
• 4 to 7 years of practical manufacturing experience in a plant environment.
• Experience with Robotic Welding, Robotic Bending, Manual Welding, and Powder Coat Painting.
• 5S and Kaizen experience is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is required.
• Knowledge of quality measurement methods and solid mechanics is preferred.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.

• Fluent in Spanish language skills.
