About the position

The Manufacturing & Supply Chain Talent Director at Caterpillar Inc. is a pivotal role focused on shaping and cultivating future talent within the Manufacturing, Supply Order to Delivery (MSOD) function. This position emphasizes global talent management, ensuring sustained growth and a robust talent pipeline. The successful candidate will work collaboratively in a matrixed environment with HR and business partners to develop talent strategies, influence organizational practices, and lead change management initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide global leadership to the overall talent lifecycle processes related to building and retaining talent with the right skills.
• Assist senior leadership in evaluating the effectiveness of the organization's talent practices and recommend improvement opportunities.
• Develop and implement change management methods and materials for talent management programs.
• Lead a team of talent management leaders to collaborate with Centers of Excellence and serve as thought leaders to the business and HR.
• Develop talent management skills and capabilities across the function.

Requirements

• Degree or equivalent experience desired.
• Knowledge of the organization's vision, structure, culture, and values.
• Ability to influence decisions within and outside the organization.
• Effective self-management practices to manage multiple priorities and projects.
