About the position

The Manufacturing Systems Analyst will play a crucial role in enhancing production efficiency and profitability within manufacturing operations. This position requires a blend of analytical and technical skills to evaluate current processes and contribute to the implementation of a Manufacturing Execution System (MES). The analyst will prioritize MES features to support productivity goals and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and analyze current manufacturing and production processes to identify areas for increased profitability, efficiency, and quality improvement.
  • Collaborate in the selection and phased implementation of an MES, ensuring the system enhances productivity and complements current systems without replacement.
  • Assist in prioritizing MES features based on critical needs, such as performance analysis, resource allocation, tracking, process management, and labor management.
  • Ensure the integration of MES with existing ERP and production systems to support data accuracy, inventory management, and production planning.
  • Work with executive sponsors, steering committees, solution developers, and manufacturing team members to gather input, address concerns, and drive project alignment across departments.
  • Utilize MES for data-driven insights on performance indicators, process cycle times, and resource allocation to identify and resolve inefficiencies.
  • Support the phased deployment of MES across multiple locations, adapting to resource alignment and any operational challenges that arise.
  • Contribute to cost and ROI assessments to justify the MES investment, focusing on demonstrating long-term financial and operational value.

Requirements

  • Strong background in retail, preferably within the furniture industry.
  • Experience in manufacturing operations, systems analysis, or production process improvement.
  • Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and data-driven process analysis.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments to drive system adoption and process alignment.
  • Excellent communication skills to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in project management and system implementation is essential.
