About the position

The Manufacturing Systems Integration Engineer will be a key member of the manufacturing engineering team, focusing on supporting production line requirements through the development and implementation of Ignition-based systems. This role requires strong programming skills and a solid understanding of complex manufacturing processes and systems, particularly in the context of SCADA systems.

Responsibilities

• Work with manufacturing engineers to develop and implement Ignition-based systems to support manufacturing line requirements.
• Collaborate with process and manufacturing engineers to develop and implement software programs for automation systems and equipment used in production.
• Develop software for engineering tools to support production activities.
• Provide on-site support for manufacturing production lines to resolve any manufacturing systems related issues.
• Travel between locations as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience with SCADA systems in manufacturing, especially using Inductive Automation's Ignition platform.
• Proficiency in high-level programming languages such as Python or Java, and experience with database query programming.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and system integrations.
• Strong team-oriented mindset with excellent interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree in Engineering.

• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols and manufacturing system architectures.
