About the position

The Manufacturing Systems IT Manager at Perdue Farms is responsible for managing the Manufacturing IT project portfolio, ensuring that it delivers value to the Manufacturing Operations function. This role involves overseeing various systems including Inventory Management, Warehouse Management, and HMI/SCADA systems, while also focusing on project execution, resource management, and continuous improvement. The manager will collaborate with internal customers to align IT solutions with business objectives, supervise a team, and contribute to the professional development of staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Manufacturing IT project portfolio to deliver value for Manufacturing Operations.
• Collaborate with Business Unit leadership to prioritize manufacturing systems resources.
• Ensure high levels of customer service through effective use of people, process, and technology.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives in the applications systems area.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and effective operation with outside entities.
• Facilitate professional development for team members and provide timely feedback and evaluations.
• Maintain competitive spending, project execution, and staffing levels.

Requirements

• BS degree or equivalent experience in Information Systems and Computer Science.
• 10+ years of experience in supply chain systems in large organizations.
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing systems or operational technology.
• 5+ years of experience executing medium to large projects using formal IT project management methodologies.
• 5+ years of experience managing project financials and budgets.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required.
• Strong communication and emotional intelligence skills.
• Experience in creating and delivering executive-level presentations.
• Strong self-management and leadership skills in high-pressure environments.
• Process-oriented with the ability to create process maps and SOPs.
• Technical acumen to understand and guide team on data flow and network diagrams.
• Experience with Lean Six Sigma problem-solving methodologies.

Nice-to-haves

• MS degree is a plus.
• Agile Certification highly desired.
• 1-5 years of supervisory experience is preferred.
• Experience in poultry manufacturing or food and beverage operations is a plus.
• Program management experience is a plus.
