About the position

The position involves performing various tasks related to the manufacture and assembly of medical devices, including machine setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. The role is essential in ensuring the production of high-quality medical products while adhering to safety and manufacturing standards.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety policies and procedures, and all required GMP's and applicable manufacturing procedures.
• Assemble all types and sizes of product, components, and sub-assemblies using standard and specialty assembly machines or hand operations.
• Press, bond, solder, flare, strip, clamp, sand, weld, mount/takedown or inspect for appearance, gauging of parts by 'no-go' or 'go' gauges and set fixtures.
• Consistently meet daily production goals while building high-quality products, parts, or subassemblies to specification.
• Work with Production Clerks to facilitate inventory accuracy.
• Follow department procedures on material replenishment.
• Assist MOB engineering with MRB investigations and ESM production.
• Train manufacturing personnel as required.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance team performance.
• Work flexible or extended hours and report to work regularly and punctually.
• Demonstrate mechanical aptitude through testing or job-related experience.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED, or a minimum of one year of manufacturing or production-related experience.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude through testing or job-related experience, technical training, or certification.
• Ability to read, write, interpret, comprehend, and consistently follow specifications written in English.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations and use measuring devices and tools.
• Willingness to rotate into different tasks and responsibilities.
• Ability to obtain department certifications as needed.

• Experience with microscope work and attention to detail for specific departments.
• Mechanical skills for machine setup and understanding business impact for production.
• Ability to work safely with razor blades and perform visual inspections for defects.
