About the position

The Manufacturing Technician role at Siemens Energy involves working with molding and demolding of shell blocks for core manufacturing. This position is crucial for ensuring that all molding tasks are completed according to production specifications to produce high-quality parts. The technician will operate various equipment and perform tasks that include cleaning, assembly, and transfer of blocks, as well as troubleshooting and ensuring equipment calibration.

Responsibilities

  • Work with molding and demolding of shell blocks for core manufacturing.
  • Perform liner cleaning and preparation, and liner block assembly.
  • Operate molding block vibration/vacuum chambers and induction slurry heating and mixing equipment.
  • Check daily molding schedule and prepare the area for operation.
  • Communicate with Core Supervision regarding work schedule and safety items.
  • Process assembly blocks according to engineering specifications.
  • Adjust machines, set controls, and perform troubleshooting as required.
  • Request work orders for equipment not operating to standard.
  • Ensure all equipment calibration is current and documented.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to read engineering instructions.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
  • Legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for employer-sponsored work authorization.
