About the position

The Manufacturing Technician position at bioMerieux is responsible for operating high-speed equipment used in the production and packaging of BacT/ALERT bottles. This role involves ensuring compliance with cGMP standards while performing tasks such as setting up, inspecting, and maintaining equipment, as well as completing production batches and associated documentation. The position operates on a 2-2-3 schedule, providing a structured work environment with a focus on quality and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Operate high-speed manufacturing equipment, including automated systems, using HMI/SCADA interfaces.
  • Execute production activities per approved Manufacturing Directions while maintaining compliance with all job-related SOPs.
  • Ensure that all batch paperwork is completed accurately and timely.
  • Perform and document all processes and procedures in compliance with company and regulatory agency regulations.
  • Assist with the review and revision of Manufacturing Directions and SOPs for product manufacture and packaging.
  • Assist with manufacturing deviation analysis, CAPA actions, and quality concerns related to process equipment.
  • Maintain work areas in a clean and organized manner in compliance with cGMP requirements.
  • Operate cleaning equipment and utilize SOPs for data recording.
  • Generate reports, charts, and KPIs to identify problems and support decision-making.
  • Assist with executing validation protocols for manufacturing and packaging equipment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 0 years of experience required.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations (LOTO, electrical safety, etc.) preferred.
  • Knowledge of FDA and/or GMP regulations preferred.
  • Mechanical background preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certification in a Bioworks Program or equivalent is preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in operating high-speed, highly automated production equipment preferred.
