The position involves utilizing routine work orders, schematics, wiring diagrams, parts and wire lists, and written and/or verbal instructions to build, repair, and/or test electrical, electro-mechanical, vacuum, and pneumatic assemblies, subassemblies, and components. The role requires performing electro-mechanical assembly operations, troubleshooting, and repair while identifying and correcting errors. Observing all safety standards is crucial, as the employee must maintain a secure, safe, clean, and healthy work environment. This includes attending required health and safety training, following safety and security policies, procedures, and practices, and promptly reporting accidents, injuries, safety hazards, or emergencies to the supervisor or Safety department. The employee must follow operating instructions, use protective equipment when required, and use equipment and materials properly, actively striving to prevent accidents and injuries. Additionally, the role involves utilizing test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors, and/or vacuum pumps to test assemblies, subassemblies, and components, entering data on a computer terminal regarding progress, work expense, and labor details. The employee may also perform computer programming, repair, or software tasks. The position requires detailing finished work, receiving parts, and performing audits to ensure all necessary parts are available for building, testing, and repair, as well as inspecting parts for defects and troubleshooting to improve processes.
