About the position

The Manufacturing Technician role at Aerotek involves assembling and testing products in a manufacturing environment. The position requires a strong background in assembly, proficiency in blueprint reading, and the ability to operate various tools and equipment. The technician will ensure that products meet quality specifications and will work in a clean, ISO-certified manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble all required products and inspect materials for compliance to manufacturing specifications using work instructions, work orders, sketches, engineering drawings, and instructions.
• Set up and operate hydraulic and hand presses.
• Use various hand-tools and power-tools (such as pneumatic torque wrench, screwdriver, and electric drill) for assembling, wiring, cleaning, rustproofing, and handling filters and components.
• Inspect final assembly and/or product to ensure quality meets all specifications.
• Perform other assembly support functions including washing, testing, and working on different job tasks within the department.
• Utilize company-wide computer systems to check on stock, access engineering drawings, check on work order status, and other job-related manufacturing transactions as required.
• Disassemble filters returned for credit, as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in assembly within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong history in assembling and testing products.
• Proficiency in blueprint reading.
• Experience operating hydraulic and hand presses.
• Ability to use hand-tools and power-tools.
