About the position

The Manufacturing Technician at Vacuum Innovations LLC is responsible for supporting the manufacturing and installation operations of precision optical coating equipment. This role requires a skilled and self-motivated individual who can work both independently and as part of a team, contributing to various tasks including equipment installation, maintenance, and quality control. The position is full-time, on-site in Dansville, NY, and offers a competitive compensation package.

Responsibilities

• Participate as a team member in the installation of new equipment and support systems.
• Support design, manufacturing, assembly, testing, and quality control activities as needed on site.
• Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, other equipment or structures.
• Coordinate project tasks, tools, components for installation, and documentation.
• Communicate effectively with team members and customers.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines.
• Conduct general cleaning duties of buildings or properties.

Requirements

• Experience with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, vacuum, and/or related fields is preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical and electrical equipment difficulties is preferred.
• Familiarity with general mechanical tools and procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift to 70 lbs. regularly.
• Experience with forklift operations, hoist/crane use, and rigging hardware is beneficial.

Nice-to-haves

• Willingness to learn new skills.
• Experience in out-of-state installations.
