About the position

The Manufacturing Technician role at Bristol Myers Squibb is focused on completing production assignments with high quality and timely output in a cellular therapeutic manufacturing environment. This position is integral to the production process, ensuring adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices and standard operating procedures while working collaboratively within a team to support the manufacturing of life-changing therapies.

Responsibilities

  • Works on routine manufacturing assignments per written procedures, recognizing deviations from accepted practices.
  • Adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices and standard operating procedures.
  • Weighs and checks raw materials, assembles, cleans, and sanitizes process equipment, and monitors processes.
  • Completes work instructions and maintains a clean room environment to comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Trains for proficiency in the operation of primary production equipment within the assigned functional area.
  • Trains for proficiency in process systems and supporting business systems.
  • Assists with the revision and/or creation of process documents, such as SOPs and electronic work instructions.
  • Assists in maintaining material and components inventory levels.
  • Supports a safe work environment.
  • Works in teams and interacts continually with team members and other manufacturing teams throughout the production process.

Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred; minimum of high school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • 0-1 years of cGMP manufacturing experience is desired or equivalent work experience or education.
  • Proven experience working on teams where collaboration and results were expected.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in common computer tools such as word processing, spreadsheet, and web-based applications.
  • Experience where attention to detail and personal accountability were critical to success.
  • Good interpersonal skills, attentive and approachable, maintaining professional relationships with management and co-workers.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a cleanroom environment.
  • Familiarity with process systems like Syncade MES and SAP interfaces.
